Brigit's Bears

Have you an old fur collar or stole sitting in a box somewhere? Maybe an heirloom from grandmother's wardrobe?

You can have it made into an heirloom bear instead and thereby enjoy it so much more. A garment can be made into several smaller bears so they can be shared among the family. The sizes start from 5" ( 12cm ) tall providing the fur is suitable and the backing is soft and goes up to 30"( 76cm) tall.

Prices for having a bear made from you own fur starts at AU$150 for a 5" bear. Postage and insurance is separate and priced according to destination.

These bears are 5-way jointed with disc and I use split pins for the small bears and bolts with lock-nuts for the larger bears.

They have glass eyes and the noses are made from leather, hand-sewn and stuffed.

The faces are trimmed and scissor-sculpted with loving care.

I can also turn almost any old clothing into a memory bear for you. If you have lost loved ones, this can be a comforting loving memory for the family of the person who wore the clothes.

The memory bear made from recycled clothing starts at AU$35 for a 9" non-jointed bear similar to these two child safe bears which were made from a Grandmothers clothing for a new baby.

The larger non-jointed memory bear is 14' tall seated with safety eyes and the price starts at  AU$75. This type of bear is suitable for old jeans, jumpers, t-shirts knitted fabrics are backed to prevent stretching out of shape.

The bear itself can be made from one item of clothing and be wearing another piece of clothing cut down to fit it like the bear below.
